Matt Gutteridge Bristol Wedding Photographer

I have been working as a wedding photographer for the last 11 years. I’ve photographed over 350 weddings all over the UK and abroad. My passion for photography started when I was really young, about the age of 10 actually.

My career has taken me down various avenues from being a drummer and travelling in Europe playing in various bands. That eventually took me to Scandinavia where I met my wife Lillian while touring in Norway. The rock star life was dropped in order to secure this girl forever - easy choice!

We lived in Norway for 15 years, having 3 sons and working regular jobs, photography was just a hobby which, upon coming back to the UK in 2009, eventually turned into a full time career.

I actually never thought I would get into wedding photography, most of the wedding photography I’d seen was quite cheesy, really not my thing!

I was asked by a friend if I would like to photograph a wedding and I thought I’d give it a go. I totally loved it and was hooked. From then on I’ve photographed weddings all over the UK and a few abroad too.

My approach is relaxed, with no pressure or getting people to do strange poses. It’s all about capturing moments and not poses. I love photographing honest emotion and real interaction between people, for me that is what it is all about.
