The Barn at South Milton is one of those one in a million venues, totally stunning, attention to detail and set in the most amazing Devon country side with incredible coastal views.
Clara and John got married at All Saints church in South Milton. It was only a short little ride down the hill, but if you got caught with a tractor coming the other way then you could be sitting in your car for some time. That happened on the way down to the church, thankfully I left before Clara!
This wedding was very special for a number of reasons, suffice to say, these families came together in a time of hardship and celebrated what has been and what will come in the most amazing way. This wedding is one I will never forget.
Clara and John, (probably more Clara as I’m not sure her energy can be beaten by anyone), have a real love for adventure. The day after the wedding everyone was invited to go paddle boarding in the sea, just a little trip down the hill. I think they did, I wasn’t there, but I’m sure there were a few blurry eyes paddling around in the sea the following morning.
The stand out event for me was the first dance. It started with a regular first dance type of thing and then broke into this crazy medley including about 10 songs. To say it set the bar is an understatement. The dance floor erupted and off it went for a couple of hours of good hard dancing. It was amazing. Of course I broke out a few moves, couldn’t help myself.
The Barn at South Milton was the perfect setting. Look forward to visiting again.
